Leisure & Culture

Ashover parish is well served by a variety of clubs and societies that provide leisure and cultural activities. The majority of these have regular gatherings in the Parish Hall. Uppertown Social Centre hold regular events with a wide variety of entertainment.

There are a number of clubs such as Gardening, Art club, Ramblers, Bowls, and Women's Institute to name but a few.

There are a number of football and cricket clubs which use the excellent facilities adjacent to the Parish Hall in the centre of the village.

There are tennis and cricket coaching sessions held in the summer months

There is a multi sports area adjacent to the Parish Hall where a variety of activities can take place including Tennis and Football.

There is a childrens play area in the playing field where there are swings, slides etc. There are also a number of pieces of external keep fit equipment dotted round about the playing field.
